Test of English as a Foreign Language or TOEFL is a standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers wishing to enroll in U.S. universities. The test is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions. TOEFL is one of the two major English-language tests in the world.
The Internet-based Test (iBT) has progressively replaced both the computer-based tests (CBT) and paper-based tests (PBT) and is the only one offered in Greece. All candidates must complete four sections – Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing

TOEFL FAQ
What is the TOEFL?
Test of English as a Foreign Language is a standardized test of English language proficiency for non-native English language speakers wishing to enroll in U.S. universities. The test is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions. Also, it is one of the two major English-language tests in the world.
Which is the official site?
What is the grading scale?
First of all, you have to check the iBT score you need for each university of application. The grade scale varies from 0-120, a generally acceptable score to have would be around 90-100. Our students constantly have a score above 100. In many cases universities lay special emphasis on Reading and Writing scores. A number of universities set a minimum score for those 2 sections.
Which is the new feature of TOEFL exam (as of August 2019)?
This new feature combines your best scores for each section from all of your valid TOEFL iBT scores in the last 2 years. Everyone has a bad day once in a while, and MyBest™ scores give you a way to show your best overall test performance. You don’t have to do anything to take advantage of this feature. All TOEFL iBT score reports sent after August 1, 2019, regardless of the test administration date, will automatically include MyBest scores along with the traditional scores from your selected test date.
I want to apply at English speaking institutions in Europe and the States. Do I need TOEFL or IELTS? (TOEFL vs IELTS)
British universities prefer IELTS, the rest of the European Universities accept both, but you have to be very careful as some institutions in the UK do not accept TOEFL anymore. All the insitutions in the States accept the TOEFL.
Do I need to take TOEFL if I hold Proficiency?
Yes, unless you have a Proficiency received in the past 2 years with a score above B.
Is it important to practice on real past papers ?
It is very important that the computer simulation is based on real past papers, as the simulations made by big publishing firms vary in difficulty from the real test.
Which is the duration of the examination?
The NEW total time is 3 hours. All the sections are computerized, even the Speaking. You don’t talk to an examiner, but to a computer.
When is the best time to take the TOEFL ?
You should take the TOEFL as early as possible before the graduate school application deadlines. Some universities may also accept pending scores; so that gives you some extra time to prepare.
Which is the scheduling fee?
TOEFL Scheduling Fee: US$245.00
When can I see the results?
